The Intake Coordinator is responsible for answering all incoming calls, emails, fax, and inquires as it relates to leave of absence, accommodations, modified duties and initiating all new claims in the leave case management system.




Required qualifications:

  1. High school Diploma required.
  2. General knowledge of federal and state leave regulations including FMLA, ADA/FEHA, and HIPAA.
  3. Ability to respond to and handle confidential business and personal information/documents.
  4. Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  5. Excellent customer service skills, with a demonstrated ability to show compassion for employee situations while still maintain policy and standards for excellence.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in leave of absence administration.
  3. Experience working in a Healthcare environment and/or with a high volume of leave cases.
  4. Proficient in data entry skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  5. Overall understanding of employee benefits as they relate to leave of absence, including short/long term disability, COBRA, state disability pay etc.
  6. Experience with Lawson, JBDev or leave case management software.
