Responsibilities

As our new part time LPN/LVN, you will provide care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, that changes the lives of patients every day. You will be responsible for providing a full range of nursing care in an interdisciplinary environment including the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care.  Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • care planning to improve the overall patient experience in the medical surgical setting
  • direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice
  • problem solving
  • meet the physical and general aspects of care of beside nursing
  • medication administration and treatments
  • meet the communication needs of the patient and family
  • demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • current and valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • minimum one year experience in an applicable setting, preferred
  • IV certification upon hire
  • ACLS (AHA) certification, preferred
  • Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification, preferred
  • ACLS (AHA) certificate required 30 days upon hire
  • Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current
