Responsible for assisting in the the overall development and management of the CSU, and its daily operations. Performs duties in striving for compliance with the Standards set forth by the county as outlined in the scope of service.


The CSU Assistant Program Manager works alongside the CSU Program Manager to provide oversight of program, development and implementation of the program operations and services, supervision of the staff, quality control and evaluation of the program. Supports the CSU and responds to the community’s needs and support the organization’s overall mission, philosophy, and goals to integrate the CSU into the Behavioral Health Services’ continuum of care; provides community outreach, direction, and supervision in the absence of the program manager, with the organizational and departmental goals and objectives. Serves as preceptor to new CSU Staff.




1. Bachelor’s in health and Human Services field, Psychology, Social Services
2. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current, required.
3. Behavioral Violence Prevention Training within 3 months of hire and maintain current
4. Minimum of one (1) year full time experience in psychiatric setting or CSU, especially working with adults diagnosed with mental illness preferred.
5. Must have excellent verbal, written, and management skills.
