Dallas Regional Medical Center is a 202-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission that offers a wide range of medical services including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging. The hospital is the only Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Labor and Delivery Unit in the area. In addition, Dallas Regional is the only Trauma Center for 13 miles, and was the first Accredited Geriatric Emergency Room in Dallas County. The hospital is a recipient of Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Awards, 15 Healthgrades Five-Star ratings over the past three years, and Straight "A" Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group since 2018. Responsibilities

Paramedic is responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the staff nurse and / or physician. Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice; Assists in maintenance of a safe environment and performs under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
  2. State Paramedic License
  3. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  4. Violence Prevention (BVP) within six (6) months of hire and maintain current.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

  1. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  2. Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
