Responsibilities

Harlingen Medical Center is looking for an exceptional full time, night shift Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our OB team.  Our LVN duties include, but are not limited to:

  • provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
  • meets the communication needs of the patient and family
  • patient care in: post-partum, nursery, rooming-in, med/surg
  • performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • current and valid Texas state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current
  • ACLS (AHA) certification within 60 days and maintain current
  • NRP certification within 60 days and maintain current
  • STABLE certification within 60 days and maintain current
  • Basic Fetal Monitoring certificate required 60 days and maintain current
  • minimum one year experience in an applicable setting, preferred
