Responsibilities

The Deputy Compliance Officer at Prime will offer strategic leadership and oversight of the compliance-related functions across Division I hospitals.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  1. At least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited undergraduate institution, preferably in a healthcare-related field.
  2. At least five years of experience within a Compliance Department, or Legal Department performing compliance work, preferably with supervisory experience.
  3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory matters including billing and coding, privacy and security, credentialing, and hospital contracting.
  5. Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and relevant state breach notification requirements.
  6. An understanding of federal guidance from OIG, DOJ, and CMS on developing and maintaining effective compliance programsand.
  7. Knowledge of laws relating to Medicare, Medicaid, EMTALA, HIPAA, the Stark Law, the False Claims Act, and the Anti-kickback Statute.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Juris Doctor or other advanced degree.
  10. Experience working with C-suite executives in a complex healthcare setting.
  11. Certification in Healthcare Compliance, Healthcare Compliance Fellowship, Healthcare Privacy Compliance, Research Compliance, or other relevant training.
  12. Experience in conducting or responding to government audits and investigations, including working with CMS, OIG, MACs, ZPICs, DOJ, OCR, etc.; and.
  13. Experience with working with an organization under a CIA.
