The Float RN is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation and provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. Here are some qualities we're looking for here at Coshocton Regional Hospital:

• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical, ED and ICU Units
• Experience monitoring patient progress and with providing updates to doctors, patients, and family members
• Communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
• Knowledge of nursing care methods, procedures, and emergency care
• Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment Expert knowledge of health and safety guidelines/procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.)
• Excels at communicating with a team and has strong interpersonal skills
• Responsible and compassionate with patients
• Able to multitask with strong organizational skills
• Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills
• Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality

Education and Work Experience

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
• PALS (AHA) certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
• NRP (AHA) certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current
• Previous acute care hospital experience, preferred
• Ventilator management experience, preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred
