Responsibilities

Observe and monitor children’s play activities.  The KIM Attendant Checks in/out all children and updates computer and/or paper records as needed, consistent with safety policies.  The Kim Attendant enforces all childcare rules and maintains proper staff-to-children ratios consistent with state and federal regulations.  The KIM Attendant initiates measures to manage behavior and inappropriate conduct demonstrated by the children.  The KIM Attendant executes programs/activities developed by the Childcare Supervisor. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.    Minimum of 6 units of college credit in basic child development; preferred.

2.    One year of experience with children (infant to 12 years) in a group setting; preferred.

3.    Good communication, judgment and conflict resolution skills. 

4.    Ability to multi-task.

5.    Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED (AHA), infant and child preferred, within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
