Under minimal direction, the Analyst will be responsible for the design, build, testing, training and support of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The Analyst requires little or no supervision as they build, maintain the system and exercise independent judgement and discretion in carrying out day-to-day support related activities. The Analyst performs complex design and analysis tasks related to the hospital business operations. The Analyst will also act as a mentor to other members of the team.




Required qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Business or Computer/Information Sciences OR an equivalent level of professional experience.
2. Certification(s) & experience in Ambulatory, CareEverywhere, EpicCare Link, MyChart.
3. 3+ years of experience as a credentialed trainer within EPIC Ambulatory and curriculum development experience
4. Experience with EPIC Ambulatory modules training or Go Live Support experience
5. Strong computer skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
6. Analyst will be certified or proficient in assigned application. Any new certifications must be obtained within 2 months of hire.
7. Strong understanding of the implementation and/or maintenance of Electronic Health Record systems.
8. IT or operational knowledge of clinical or revenue cycle processes in one or more areas of a hospital, clinic, or business office.
9. Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
10. Technical expertise in subject matter areas demonstrated by documented experience in analysis, process design and workflow, research, installation/implementation and support of EHR systems.
11. Ability to independently prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects and/or priorities.
12. Effective team player.
13. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
14. Professional etiquette and customer service oriented.
15. Able to travel up to 50% and take call as needed.
16. Able to provide support to facilities on holidays, nights, and weekends.


Preferred qualifications:

1. 1 year industry related experience in IT/Clinical setting or within applicable area in healthcare operations, preferred.
2. Prior experience in EMR implementations and/or support is preferred.
