Responsibilities

Establishes, oversees, and coordinates imaging services patients and procedures for efficient operation of the imaging department. Responsibilities include interacting collaboratively with radiologists, imaging staff, and other sectional staff and supervisors. To facilitate the day-to-day functions of the imaging department, assuring smooth patient workflow within the department, verifies order / prescription validity, and obtains current lab values when necessary. Assist the Radiology, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, or Ultrasound technologists with transporting patients. Prepares paperwork by asking patients screening questions prior to procedure(s) and ensures procedure order matches procedure to be completed. Prepares room and non-sterile trays as needed to assist technologist.
Demonstrates knowledge of the basic imaging terminology, basic knowledge of imaging procedures. This person should demonstrate exceptional customer service through phone etiquette, face-to-face interaction by speaking clearly, listening carefully, and showing compassion. Provides clerical support, proficient use of the computer, copier, and other office equipment. Performs other duties as assigned within scope of skill set.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
 
1. Previous hospital experience preferred.
2. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
3. Current BLS certification required
4. Minimum of 1 year customer service experience required.
5. Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy and medical terminology required.
