General Job functions:

  • Must be organized, self-motivated and efficient while working well with others in a team setting.

  • Must adhere to ALARA principles while delivering quality, safe patient imaging always.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
  • Other job duties as required. (DEXA)
  • Attends departmental meetings as required.

Responsibilities

  • Produces quality mammography images for interpretation.
  • Assumes responsibility for patient safety by utilizing proper exposure and protective measures.
  • Educates and explains procedures to patients.
  • Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.
  • Demonstrates awareness of Radiation Safety Procedures for self and others.
  • Follows department protocols in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms.
  • Follows regulatory guidelines and performs QA/QC as mandated by ACR/ MQSA.
  • Knowledge in how to perform Breast Wire localizations, Stereo Breast biopsies and bone density.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.

2. Effective July 1, 2017appropriate national certifications in two modalities required

3. Current BCLS (AHA).

4. Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.

5. One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferrred

6. Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT.

7. Proficient computer skills.
