Responsibilities

Functions as a Radiation Therapist when requested administering therapeutic radiation as ordered to facilitate accurate treatment delivery and accordance with state and federal regulations. The Radiation Therapist works closely with the Radiation Oncologist and Certified Medical Physicist in planning the course of radiation therapy by performing radiation dose distribution, position and dosage calculations and constructing treatment devices. This individual provides clear communication within the department and assists in the maintenance of radiation and programming equipment.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
3. American Heart Association BLS card required.
