The Multi-Site Director, Radiation Therapy organizes and supervises the work of the Radiation Therapy Department for both Garden City Hospital and Lake Huron Medical Center locations. This position is a newly created operational and clinical position which will be a legacy leadership opportunity in creating and building the Radiation Oncology Therapy Program from ground-up. New, state of the art radiation equipment has been put in place. The Director organizes and supervises the work of the Radiation Therapy Department, is responsible for supply management, manage the staff and employees' schedules to meet the department’s needs. This role will be an instrumental partner in assisting the Physician Onocology Group in projects and communication between other staff members. The Director will serves as the primary relief person for the Therapy Department and may performs treatment planning and constructs custom cast blocks. The Director will ensure appropriate staffing is in place for the department as well as serve as a key leader in helping build volume and grow the service line.
Education and Work Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or related area.
2. Registered R.T.(T.) by the A.R.R.T.
3. Previous dosimetry experience.
4. Strong verbal and written skills.
5. Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards required.
