The Hospitalist Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the hospitalist program. This role includes scheduling, administrative duties, communication with healthcare teams, and ensuring that the hospitalist services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Will be responsible for developing and managing hospitalist physician schedules and managing any last-minute changes and emergency coverages as needed. This individual will be the primary point of contact for the hospitalist team and will Facilitate communication between hospitalists, nursing staff, administration, and other departments.
Will help to with the scheduling of trainings or meetings for the hospitalist staff and will develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of hospitalist services. This is a demanding environment where changes are common, and this individual will need to adapt to that change quickly and effectively. They must be a self-driven individual and be able to communicate to a wide audience.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a hospital or another medical environment is preferred
2. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related discipline preferred.
3. A minimum of two years’ administrative experience is required.
4. Strong interpersonal communication skills required.
5. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
6. Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
7. Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
