Registered nurses are committed to improving the health of the individuals and communities we serve, especially those who are poor or vulnerable, supporting our mission in all aspects of their professional practice. This practice includes direct care activities as well as acts of delegation, coordination, and collaboration and encompasses all aspects of the nursing process (assessment, Planning, implementation, and evaluation). The registered nurse is accountable for the quality of nursing care that their patients receive and for the conformity of that care to nationally, regionally and locally accepted standards of care and best practice.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License. BSN Preferred.
2. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. ACLS Preferred. 4. PALS Preferred.
5. Five years’ experience in an acute care operating room in the scrub and circulator roles. Preferred experience in all specialties.
6. Completion of a recognized training program in an RN First Assistant Program recognized by NIFA.
7. Certification as an RN First Assistant within one year following meeting the required hours for certification.
8. CNOR certification upon hire and must be maintain
