Lead Ultrasound Technologist / Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) demonstrates competency in performing all general and vascular ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. Positions patient and equipment and produces an appropriate recording. Supervises Ultrasound staff in the absence of manager/director. Promotes teamwork and good customer service. Assists in annual evaluations and staff discipline The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS. Lead Ultrasound Technologist / Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) will work to orient and train new hire Ultrasound employees and assist with the clinical rotations for Ultrasound students.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. RVT(ARDMS), RVS (CCI) or VS (ARRT) certification required within 90 days of hire and maintain.
2. Additional certification or experience from ARDMS in Breast or /OB-GYN required.
3. Graduate an accredited vascular ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
4. Current acute care hospital experience required.
5. Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
6. Proficient computer skills.
