As an Intern Polysomnographic Technologist, you will assist in the evaluation and monitoring of patients undergoing sleep studies. Interns will gain hands-on experience in polysomnography, data collection, and patient care, while contributing to the overall mission of enhancing patient health through quality sleep diagnostics. As skillset advances intern will score, interpret, and report results of sleep studies. Intern will prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing. Intern can perform basic diagnostic sleep studies consistent with training level. Reports needed repairs/replacements.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Enrollment in or recent completion of relevant program (e.g., Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy)
2. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
4. Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) preferred.
