Directs and oversees all medical staff credentialing, continued medical education and services. Develops and maintains productive, professional relationships with all levels of staff. Develops departmental plans, budgets and directs staff as appropriate. Maintains knowledge of current medical staff and medical education standards as related to deemed agencies. This leadership position is accountable for the administrative and legal aspects of the Medical Staff organization including facilitating effective peer review to provide quality patient care by qualified LIPs. Responsibilities include: credentialing/appointment and reappointment.; ACGME Accreditation for CME; meeting requirements for all regulatory requirements for the MS organization. Serves as an essential link in promoting and enhancing good communication among the medical staff and creating positive working relationships.Directs and oversees all medical staff credentialing, continued medical education and services. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
2. Certification from the National Association of Medical Staff Services as Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred.
3. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
4. Prefer Five years Management in Medical Staff Services.
5. Sexual Harassment training annually thereafter.
