Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities are:

  • Oversee the daily operations of perioperative services, ensuring seamless workflow and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
  • Utilize innovative techniques and technology to improve surgical outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and prepare them for surgery, ensuring clear communication of all perioperative protocols.
  • Maintain and enhance the inventory and equipment necessary for surgical procedures.
  • Lead and mentor a team of perioperative nurses and staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Monitor compliance with infection control standards and implement strategies to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
 
1. Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
2. BLS (AHA or ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS (AHA or ARC) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. Current PALS (AHA or ARC) certificate and/or ENPC required 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
5. A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
7. CNOR; preferred.
8. At least two (2) years of experience in Surgical Nursing.
