Responsibilities

The Regional Leader of Community Benefits and Grants is responsible for the overall operational and fiscal management of grant funded and hospital-based community outreach programs throughout the region to promote health, prevention of disease, and community engagement.  This position executes all programs targeting key community populations ensuring all metrics and grant deliverables are achieved.  Provides oversight for the planning and implementation of educational opportunities for any students of volunteers who may work and learn in the department.  Collaborates with community organizations, parishes, and cities within the key demographic areas to provide services to underserved and/or uninsured community members.  Provides strategic insight to the hospital executives to the areas of need within the community and how best to serve them.  This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Prime mission of delivering compassionate care to communities.  This role supports the strategic and annual operating plan, and all essential elements of Quality Improvement and Financial Stewardship.  This position partners with the Chief Experience Officer at Prime Healthcare to create opportunities to influence the needs of the community and region.  Prepares and reports appropriate data to Prime Healthcare leadership and any outside agencies to monitor performance and progress of key initiatives and plans, including the community health needs assessment every three years.  Performs related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Minimum 5 years Community Benefits experience.
  2. Advanced use of Microsoft Outlook and Contact Management Databases.
  3. Demonstrated ability to network with community leaders.
  4. Sales or public relations experience.
  5. Proven ability to manage successful projects.
  6. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Past non-profit experience preferred.
  8. Master’s degree preferred.
