Responsibilities

The Materials Coordinator provides professional support in the areas of supply processing, distribution, purchasing, receiving and inventory management. The primary objective is to manage and control the flow of supplies and equipment from acquisition to disposition. Responsible for placing material/implant orders, organizing tissue logs, checking expiration dates, restocking supplies, monitoring upcoming surgical cases, communicating with reps, organizing loaner equipment, and assisting colleagues with moving equipment in and out of OR rooms between cases. Performs other activities in support of clinical team members when not engaged in coordinating materials. Assures that department operations adhere to guidelines per the state, accreditation and all other agencies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
 
1. Two years of experience as a health care materials coordinator preferred
2. Skills of planning, organizing and prioritizing
3. Computer skills/ EPIC understanding preferred
4. Working knowledge of logistics, business ethics, math and business management
