The Director of Radiology Services provides leadership to multiple designated Prime facilities including hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, and free-standing clinics as assigned.  The Director provides supervision, leadership, coordinates department activities, ensuring safety to both patients and staff at all designated sites equally.  Directs all human resource functions of the department which include overseeing training and ensures staff competencies as well as always ensuring safe staffing levels.  Develops and manages budget to meet all departmental needs, organizational and patient safety goals and ensures regulatory compliance. The Director ensures ongoing monitoring of departmental indicators and PI activities, reports activities as directed for all designated sites.  The Director responds to the needs of the department by performing radiology technologist duties when needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.            Associate degree; graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2.            Advanced certification in secondary modality required.

3.            Supervisory experience in all medical imaging functions.

4.            Strong verbal and written skills.

5.            Current state licensed CRT, Fluoroscopy permit by CDPH and ARRT-R.

6.            Current Basic Life Support /BCLS (AHA) certification

7.            Ability to travel to all designate sites regularly with and w/o notice.

8.            Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards required.
