Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this dynamic and demanding environment, the CNA will provide essential support to our medical staff, ensuring high-quality patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist ER staff with patient assessments by measuring vital signs and reporting any changes.
  • Support the RN and ER team by preparing patients for procedures, collecting samples, and ensuring room readiness.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and care.
  • Assist in managing patient flow within the ER by directing, escorting, and transferring patients as needed.
  • Provide personal patient care, including bathing, feeding, and hygiene assistance, always ensuring comfort and dignity.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests, addressing immediate needs or escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the ER by restocking supplies and sanitizing areas.
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and families to provide updates and instructions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING


1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
2. Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
4. Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
