Performs some security services, including electronic surveillance, receiving, processing and dispatching of calls for service to Security Officers. Aids in coordinating Security response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors. Assist/Directs patients, visitors, employees and vendors as needed for entry from the Emergency Department to the Main Hospital. Follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care. Effectively utilizes the CCTV system for consistent monitoring of activity in and around the campus. Uses a 2-way radio system to disseminate information/calls to Security Officers. Is knowledgeable in the use of the computerized GPS tracking system for HUGS Bands. Makes notification(s) when needed to Public Safety Departments for assistance. Participates in employee awareness and education. Driving as needed for company business.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. DCI within 90 Days of hire and maintain current annually.
2. Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred.
3. State Security Officer Certification Registration Card or equivalent preferred.
4. High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
