South Kansas City SurgiCenter is looking for a per diem, day shift Operating Room/Surgical Tech who is empathetic and has good communication skills. We have a collaborative culture focused on positive outcomes, opportunities for professional growth and so much more.  Our OR/Surg Tech duties include but are not limited to:

• responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure
• maintaining sterile field during case
• providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures
• able to work well under stressful and emergency situations
• able to act quickly and accurately
• this position does not require being on-call nor working weekends/holidays!

Education and Work Experience

• graduation from an accredited ORT/Surgical Tech program AND minimum one year of experience, required
• on-the-job trained techs minimum 2 years experience in a main OR surgical setting, required
• must be proficient in the following specialties: ENT and Plastics
• experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., General, Ortho, Urology, Ophthalmic, Pain, Colo-Rectal)
• current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
