This position comes with a $20,000 sign-on bonus. This is a night shift nurse (7pm to 7am) which comes with an amazing shift differential.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Kansas City, Missouri. This position is perfect for a dedicated nursing professional with a strong passion for providing exceptional patient care in a critical care environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
  • Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and medical conditions using advanced ICU technology and equipment.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Accurately document patient information, treatments, and responses in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Safely administer medications and intravenous therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Offer emotional support and education to patients' families, helping them understand the critical care process and transition plans.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
6. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
