Responsibilities

The Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing and influencing the Urgent Care Staff activities and the delivery of Business Services while maintaining continuous quality improvement. The Supervisor maintains operations within budgetary parameters. Effectively interacts with patient, physicians, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional business conduct and service. The Supervisor is accountable to the Director and Executive Director for the day-today management of personnel, including staffing, credential monitoring, time-keeping, employee evaluation, counseling, interview and selection of staff within established SMMG and regulatory guidelines. The Supervisor spends 80% + of his/her time is spent on the management activities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. One to Three years work experience in an acute care facility or Healthcare practice.
2. One to Three years Management experience.
3. Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or equivalent experience or EMT license preferred.
4. Knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Medicare, Medical, HMO/PPO, and W/C Billing & Collections preferred.
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook.
6. Knowledge of machines and equipment used in the Business Office area.
7. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred.
8. Sexual Harassment training within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
