Responsibilities

Looking for an experienced Hemodialysis Tech to join our growing Dialysis team. St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, IL, is an 182-bed facility that has been a cornerstone of specialty and emergency care, available 24/7. Our facility is equipped with a Level II trauma center, catering to both adult and pediatric patients. We specialize in advanced surgical treatments for critical injuries and illnesses, ensuring that our care teams are attentive to your unique health needs.

 

This posiiton is a full-time, 3-12hr shifts (6a-6p) with rotating weekends and holdiays with on-call required. This role will float to Saint Joseph Medical Center, Joliet as needed. 

 

The Hemodialysis Technician is an unlicensed health care provider responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment within scope of practice.  Responsibilities include maintenance and disinfection of dialysis equipment, ordering and stocking supplies necessary for in- patient dialysis treatment.  Monitoring and cleaning supply area as well as other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.      High School Diploma or equivalent.

2.      Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3.      One year of hemodialysis experience preferred.

4.      Hemodialysis Technician Certification, or equivalent training.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $21.00 to $30.41. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
