We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Circulating Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. As a crucial member of the perioperative team, the Circulating OR Nurse plays a vital role in ensuring patient safety and effective communication among surgical staff. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and ensure patient readiness for surgery.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to facilitate seamless surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment by overseeing the setup of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Accurately document all surgical activities and patient care information in electronic health records.
• Serve as the advocate for the patient's well-being, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.
• Manage and organize surgical inventory, ensuring all necessary materials are available.
• Act promptly and efficiently in emergencies, adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Education and Work Experience

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
