Overview

Do you have a passion for helping others? Riverview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant, also referred to as a CNA in our Medical-Surgical Acute unit.  The Med-Surg CNA assists Nurses by providing basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient safety for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses. They play a critical role in observing patients, reporting changes, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment to promote recovery. 

 

 

Shift’s Available: Nights (12hr shifts)

Responsibilities

Riverview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our
Med-Surg/Acute team. Under RN supervision, you will assist patients with daily living
activities, provide basic nursing care, and help maintain a safe environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Basic patient care: Help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing,
dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
• Vital signs monitoring: Take and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature,
respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation
• Mobility assistance: Help patients get in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices.
• Observation: Monitor patients for any physical changes (shortness of breath, chest pain,
altered mental status) and quickly notifying the nursing staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Possess knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred
