Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. Positions patient and equipment and produce an appropriate recording. The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Program or current certificate.
2. RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in [Physics [SPI], and 1 Specialty exam [AB, BR, FE, OB/GYN, or PS] to be completed within one (1) year of hire and maintained throughout employment.
3. Previous experience preferred.
4. Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
5. Proficient computer skills.
St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $40.39. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
