About the Role:

 

We are currently seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab to lead and manage two cutting-edge cardiovascular labs equipped with the latest technology. This role will oversee all operational, clinical, and strategic aspects of our Coronary Artery and Neurovascular Programs, ensuring excellence in patient care and continuous performance improvement. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a strong clinical foundation (RN licensure preferred), excellent collaboration skills, and a passion for driving clinical quality in cardiovascular services.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all activities within the Cardiovascular Laboratory Services, including staff planning, performance management, and quality assurance.
  • Lead departmental operations, including Cardiac Diagnostics and Interventions, in accordance with hospital policies and external regulatory standards.
  • Administer policies and develop long-term strategies to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with Cardiologists, medical staff, technical teams, and ancillary departments.
  • Ensure consistent and adequate staffing to meet patient and community needs.
  • Oversee orientation, training, and continuing education for all clinical and non-clinical personnel, including students and new hires.
  • Interpret EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings; operate lab equipment such as pressure injectors and cardiac output monitors.
  • Spearhead quality and performance improvement initiatives focused on excellence in care and clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse preferred.
2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
4. A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
5. Five (5) years of Coronary Care Nursing and/or the Cardiovascular Lab.
6. Basic computer knowledge.
7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred for all new hires after 1/11/2021.
