Overview:
Prime Healthcare is currently hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support our cardiology team in Aurora, IL. This position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity cardiac care setting alongside board-certified cardiologists, providing outpatient and limited inpatient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct patient assessments and cardiac evaluations
• Manage chronic cardiac conditions such as CHF, CAD, arrhythmias, and post-MI care
• Assist with medication management, lifestyle counseling, and patient education
• Collaborate with cardiologists to monitor and adjust treatment plans
• Support post-discharge follow-up and transitional care

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois
• Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with cardiology experience
• At least 1 year of experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred
• ACLS and BLS certification required
