Shift’s Available:  Days (No Weekends)

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8:00am to 5pm

Location:  Gynecology Associates of South Kansas City- Kansas City, MO 

 

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, also referred to as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Certified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments in our gynecology clinic. Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.

Responsibilities

** You must be a Certified Medical Assistant from the National Healthcare Association or other nationally recognized organization to move forward in this position. We do offer programs to help you get your Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Welcome patients and prepare them for exams and procedures, ensuring a warm and professional environment.
  • Assist gynecologists during examinations and medical procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
  • Accurately record patient information, medical histories, and vital signs in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Measure and record patient vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature.
  • Assist in collecting and processing specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
  • Provide patients with educational information regarding procedures, treatments, and preventative care.
  • Help manage appointments, follow-up calls, and patient communications efficiently.
  • Monitor and restock medical supplies and materials, ensuring the clinic is always prepared.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and privacy regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

 

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

  • Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current
  • Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required 

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting, preferred
