Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Lead a dedicated emergency room team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
  • Oversee patient care standards, collaborating with medical staff to optimize care delivery and ensure best practices.
  • Will have 24/7 accountability for the emergency room. 
  • Drive the efficiency of the ER department, implementing process improvements, managing resources, and enhancing workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, maintain accreditation standards, and uphold safety protocols across the department.
  • Develop and manage the departmental budget, analyze financial performance, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality care.
  • Act as a liaison between hospital administration, medical staff, and other departments to ensure coordinated patient care and department objectives are met.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

  • Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS upon hire and maintain current.
  • A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
  • PALS certification upon hire and maintain current.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
