Overview

We are seeking a Director of Radiology Services, sometimes referred to as a Director of Radiology or Radiology Director. Director of Radiology Services provides leadership, supervision and coordinates department activities, ensuring safety to both patients and staff. 

 

Bonus Options: up to $20,000

Employment Type: Full Time

Shifts Available: Days 

Hours: 8-hour 

Location: Dallas Medical Center - Dallas, TX

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Directs all human resource functions of the department with include; overseeing training and ensures staff competencies, ensures safe staffing levels
  • Develops and manages budget to meet department, organizational and patient safety goals and ensures regulatory compliance
  • The Director ensures ongoing monitoring of departmental indicators and PI activities, reports activities as directed
  • The Director responds to the needs of the department by performing radiology technician duties when needed

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

 

  • Associates Degree grduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology. Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • One or more certifications in imaging modalities (Radiology, CT, MRI, Ultrasound)
  • Specialized training in CT or MRI preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in all medical imaging functions
  • Previous experience as a radiology technologist/Nuclear Medicine/Other modalities.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Current state licensed CRT, Fluoroscopy permit by CDPH and ARRT-R.
  • Current Basic Life Support /BCLS (AHA) certification.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards required.
