Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Location: Providence Medical Group – Kansas City, KS (Podiatry Clinic)

 

Join our dynamic Podiatry Clinic team in Kansas City, Kansas, where we provide exceptional foot and ankle care. As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive podiatric services to our diverse patient population. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine your clinical skills with compassionate patient care in a collaborative environment. Your ability will help ensure the smooth operation of our clinic, supporting both our medical professionals and patients. A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) working in a podiatry clinic should have a mix of administrative, clinical, and interpersonal skills. The CMA will also be assisting the podiatrists during examinations and minor surgical procedures.

 

** You must be a Certified Medical Assistant from the National Healthcare Association or other nationally recognized organization to move forward in this position. We do offer programs to help you get your Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

 

  • Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
  • Assist podiatrists during examinations and procedures.
  • Manage phone calls, patient inquiries, and scheduling with efficiency and courtesy.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and lab work, under supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

  • Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current
  • Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required
  • 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting, preferred
