Overview

Employment Type: Per Diem (PRN)

Shifts Available: Monday though Friday 8 hour shift (No Weekends)

Location: Providence Medical Center

 

A Clinical Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializes in assessing, treating, and managing patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and with skin integrity issues.  Being a Wound Care RN involves working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans to promote healing and prevent complications. In addition to direct patient care, the RN may educate patients and their families on wound management techniques and prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Apply and monitor advanced wound care techniques and interventions.

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

  • Document patient progress and treatment effectiveness.

  • Educate patients and families on proper wound care and prevention.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

 

1. Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state.
2. BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
3. ACLS within 30 days of hire.
4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
5. Previous Wound care knowledge and or experience preferred (1 Year).
