Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Location: Kansas City Physician Care- Internal Medicine-Kansas City, MO 

 

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (CCMA), in an internal medicine clinic plays a crucial role in providing patient care and administrative support. They assist doctors by preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, and updating medical records. This Medical Assistant may also schedule appointments and communicate with patients about treatment plans. They ensure a smooth clinic operations and contributes to high-quality patient care by serving as a bridge between patients and healthcare providers in a focused internal medicine setting.

Responsibilities

** You must be a Certified Medical Assistant from the National Healthcare Association or other nationally recognized organization to move forward in this position. We do offer programs to help you get your Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking and recording vital signs, patient history, and reason for visit.
  • Assist healthcare providers during exams and procedures.
  • Provide patient education and instructions as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing instruments and disposing of contaminated supplies.
  • Help manage appointments, follow-up calls, and patient communications efficiently.

 

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 
 
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
2. Medical Assistant Certification.
3. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
4. Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.
5. Work experience in health care preferred.
