The Cardiac Catheterization RN provides direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures within the Cardiovascular Lab. This role supports the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients in a high-acuity surgical environment.
Deliver comprehensive patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
Continuously monitor and document the patient’s condition, including physiologic and hemodynamic data.
Maintain ongoing communication with the attending physician and care team regarding patient status and procedural updates.
Prepare the procedure room by assessing equipment functionality and readiness; ensure appropriate supplies are available for each case.
Assist in the operation and maintenance of cardiovascular lab equipment and manage inventory levels.
Support sedation and recovery processes, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout.
Participate actively in department performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
Respond effectively to emergencies and support rapid decision-making in time-sensitive situations.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
2. Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
3. Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
4. One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $36.06 to $47.58 per hour.
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
