Lower Bucks Hospital is a community hospital, serving the Lower Bucks County region with medical, surgical, and emergency care. Located in historic Bristol, Pennsylvania, the Hospital is well-known for its knowledgeable medical staff, including cardiology, orthopedics, radiology, wound care, and general surgery. The hospital has more than 200 physicians on staff, as well as another 700 employees.

Responsibilities

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. The SANE exam may include a medical-forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 
 
1. Current and valid state RN License 
2. Completion of Pennsylvania Statewide SANE didactic training 
3. Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience; specialty experience in women’s health, emergency department or intensive care(preferred), public health or psychiatry recommended with demonstrated autonomy and professional judgment in nursing practice 
4. BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current. 
5. Proficient use of all equipment.
