Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital. The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for more than a century, having first opened its doors in 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.

Responsibilities

The community liaison will partner with administration to develop relationship with referring physician and community partners in order to facilitate beneficial referring practices for both the hospital, behavioral health unit, and the physician practices along with providing frequent updates on organizational initiatives (including new service lines), quality scores and marketing strategies. The liaison is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding provider and physician relationships. These activities may include but are not limited to: relationship building, marketing, public relations, customer service, and patient referral coordination. The liaison facilitates education, intervention, & continuity of care with providers, families, & caretakers in the community. Provides assessment & support for those presenting behavioral health needs in the community.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
 
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, or relevant undergraduate or graduate degree.
2. RN Licensed in practicing state preferred.
3. Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Three year’s experience in referral & network development or sales or physician relations. Clinical experience in a mental health setting highly preferred.
5. Good interpersonal skills, writing, spelling, telephone etiquette, and sensitive interface with community members, physicians, and employees requires.
6. Community literacy with Microsoft (word, Excel, PowerPoint,, etc required..
