In collaboration with Executive Leadership and Chief Medical Officers, this position provides financial and operational oversight to employed physician practices across assigned market. Ideally, we are seeking versatile and seasoned Medical Group Operations leadership with experience in the northeast region.
This role assumes day to day accountability for all facets of practice operations, with a strong emphasis on managing patient access and throughput, provider productivity, clinic staffing, and medical group support services. Ideal candidate will have experience with managing the revenue as well as expense side of a multi-specialty clinic, with a proven track record. Experience with value-based payment models such as Chronic care, Transitional care and Remote Patient Monitoring is highly desirable. Facilitates an atmosphere of collaboration with local Medical Group administrators, hospital leadership, and corporate leadership. Will be visible, accessible and committed to communicating effectively with providers, hospital leadership, and staff. Financial responsibilities include ownership and management of Medical Groups/practices P&L with an emphasis on reducing operating losses, and revenue cycle for practices
1. BS in Business Administration, Finance or Health Care Administration required.
2. Master’s in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration required.
3. Five or more years of leadership experience, preferably within a large clinical organization with 200+ providers with multi-site responsibilities.
4. Experience in a complex healthcare delivery environment, including clinic operations, financial management, physician recruitment, and business development within a large medical group or multi-specialty practice.
5. Excellent leadership skills including ability to think strategically, develop vision and execute for results.
6. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance healthcare requirements.
7. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
8. Ability to make sound business decisions by analyzing financial and quality metrics as well as develop practical solutions for metric goal deviations.
9. Strong business and financial background with a sense of urgency and a desire to achieve top line results.
10. Job requires up to 40% travel to various Medical Groups
