Responsibilities

Contract Drafting and Negotiation:
·         Prepares various types of contracts, including IFBs (Inquiries for Bids), RFQs (Requests for Quotations), RFPs (Requests for Proposals), and other contractual agreements. 

·         Negotiates terms, conditions, and pricing with vendors, suppliers, and other parties. 

·         Ensures contracts are clear, accurate, and compliant with relevant regulations and policies. 
 Contract Administration and Management:
·         Monitors contract performance, including deliverables, timelines, and compliance with contractual obligations. 

·         Manages contract amendments, extensions, and terminations. 

·         Maintains accurate records of contracts and related documentation. 
Risk Management:
·         Identifies potential risks associated with contracts. 

·         Develops and implements risk mitigation strategies. 

·         May be involved in contract claims and disputes. 
 Compliance and Legal Issues:
·         Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. 

·         May work with legal counsel on complex legal issues related to contracts. 

·         Keeps up to date with changes in laws and regulations that impact contracts.

Stakeholder Management:
·         Works with internal teams, such as procurement, legal, and project management, to ensure contract needs are met. 

·         Builds and maintains relationships with vendors and other external parties. 

·         Provides contract support and training to staff. 

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

 

1.            High School Graduate or GED.

2.            Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, law, finance, or management, with experience in contract management. 

3.            Strong understanding of contract law, regulations, and industry standards

4.            Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

5.            Attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong interpersonal skills

6.            Certifications like Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) can be beneficial. 

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

1.    Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.

Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $22.00 to $31.86. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
