Responsibilities

The Retail Pharmacy Manager will serve as the Pharmacist in Charge for the outpatient pharmacy. Coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or the outpatient pharmacy, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include: General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Perioperative, Geriatrics, and Outpatient Services including Immunizations, Meds to Beds, and coordination with Pharmacotherapy, Population Health, and Specialty Pharmacy teams.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Current state Registered Pharmacist License required.
  2. B.S. degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
  3. At least 3 years of previous pharmacy retail experience required.
  4. Previous retail supervisory or PIC experience preferred.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills required.
  6. Experience with pharmacy computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required.
  7. APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required.
  8. Experience working with Ambulatory Pharmacy Teams preferred.
  9. 340B program experience preferred (if at a 340B facility)

St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $113K to $176K. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
