Join a vital team responsible for maintaining the highest standards in healthcare staffing. As a Medical Staff Coordinator, you'll manage the end-to-end credentialing process for physicians applying to work at Prime Healthcare within the Chicagoland area. This role involves verifying critical documentation such as medical licenses, education, and background checks—ensuring only the most qualified physicians are onboarded. On average process 10–15 applications at a time, ensuring all are completed within a 30–60 day window. Your meticulous attention to detail will directly impact the quality of care by serving as a gatekeeper for medical excellence. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven role where follow-up and organizational skills are key.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
2. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred
3. Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience, Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience preferred.
4. Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills.
5. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
6. Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
7. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $24.00 to $34.76 The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
