The purpose of this position is to determine whether facilities provide leaves of absences in conformance with statutory requirements – particularly with regard to disability and other discrimination issues. Review whether the facility has supplied the employee with required information regarding leaves of absences and whether facility has granted or denied time-off requests in compliance with state and federal regulations, particularly with regard to the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Work with facilities to develop appropriate disability management strategies to meet objectives and goals. Provide expertise in strategy development and execution, planning and facilitation of case management. Minimize risk to facilities by ensuring leave and accommodation practices are compliant. Understand the Interactive Process and recommend accommodations that are beneficial to both the employee and the facility. Consult with Legal and leadership as needed. Ensure tracking of cases is in accordance with legal requirements and facility guidelines. Work with facilities in auditing employee leaves of absences to include creating and maintaining audit logs/tools, aggressive return to work strategies, and partner with legal on difficult case management. Act as a liaison between the facility and legal department regarding disability management.

1. College degree or at least 5 years’ experience in leave administration required.
2. Previous experience coordinating employee leaves, e.g. medical, personal, FMLA, or ADA.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office
4. Superior interpersonal skills required.
