Our cardiology clinic in Kansas City,MO is seeking an exceptional Cardiac Device Technician to join our innovative electrophysiology team. In this role, you will be on the front lines of cardiac care, managing advanced implantable devices that directly improve patients' quality of life. Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but are not limited to):

  • Become a diagnostic expert. Independently interrogate, interpret, and reprogram cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), including pacemakers, ICDs, CRT-Ds, and ILRs, during in-clinic and remote follow-ups.
  • Master the technology. Work with the latest device programmers from leading manufacturers (Medtronic, Boston Scientific, St. Jude/Abbott, and more) to ensure optimal device function.
  • Empower our patients. Provide comprehensive and empathetic patient education on their devices and remote monitoring systems, ensuring they feel confident and informed about their care.
  • Lead with confidence. Triage complex device issues and effectively communicate critical findings to our electrophysiologists and physicians for immediate action.
  • Stay ahead of the curve. Coordinate remote monitoring programs and keep pace with the rapidly evolving technology in cardiac device management.
  • Join a recall task force. Assist in identifying and contacting patients affected by device advisories or recalls, ensuring a safe and efficient follow-up process.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

 

1. High School diploma or equivalent required

2. College degree preferred

3. Completion of complex rhythn recognition class.

4. Successful completion of a Cardiac Device Educational Program or 2 years patient care wcperience, including exposure of implantable cardiac devices and complex arrhythmia recognition.
