Responsibilities

The Coordinator  is responsible for gathering, reviewing, and approving  internal billing claims; setup, verification and updating insurance account information; verifying eligibility; preparing  related billing claims data reports; coordinates  Medical billing claims submission via electronic data interface (EDI); functions as liaison with LA County- Dept. of Mental Health (LAC-DMH) and Medi-Cal; tracks and monitors billing claims and approval; provides monthly report analysis to Department Director assists in preparation for year-end final reports. Responsible for coordinating activities related to Electronic Health care (HER) application including user training, maintenance, application enhancement, develops new reports, and problem solving; functions as liaison with software vendor and lead trainer.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related filed.
  2. Experience with Electronic Health Record (HER) systems.
  3. Working knowledge of Medi-Cal and/or third-party billing and reimbursement.
  4. Knowledge of billing requirements and collection regulations for Federal, State, and local agencies and third-party submissions.

 

 

 

Pay Transparency

St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $21.85 to $27.28. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
