Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care, guides and educates patients and families, supervises other nursing personnel, and ensures standards of care are maintained.

 

  • Deliver direct patient care within the scope of practice.
  • Utilize the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Monitor patient conditions, including cardiac status and response to treatment.
  • Communicate changes in patient condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology to physicians.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding care, treatment plans, and health management.
  • Supervise, guide, and delegate activities of other nursing personnel as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with established nursing standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.      Current and valid state RN License.

2.      Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3.      Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. 

4.      Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

5.      Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.

6.      Ventilator Management experience preferred.

7.      Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.

8.      Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.35 to $53.58. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
